Site Survey
We carry out a comprehensive site survey and provide a price for the required service, with no retaining fee. We can also provide a risk assessment and a method statement upon acceptance of our services. Continual Monitoring As part of our service we monitor the weather conditions in your area, using a location specific road surface temperature forecast. Once the forecast reaches the trigger point (a combination of surface temperature and climatic conditions) we will commence our winter gritting/maintenance services. Once complete we will send you an email containing details of the winter gritting that has been carried out. |

Conscientious Gritting
Normally gritting is carried out using white salt which is environmentally kinder and flows better through the spreading machines which are calibrated to ensure an even spread of salt at the recognised industry standard. Salt is not only the most economical de-icing material, it is also non-toxic and the residual salt is diluted and disposed of through natural processes. However, TGS Landscapes understands that in order to keep the environmental impact at a minimum it must be used responsibly. We believe good training and appropriate resources are vital in achieving this.
Application Rate
The industry standard proven application rate of the rock salt will be applied when we are salting during the ice and snow conditions. Application rates increase depending on the forecast conditions
Cost Plans
Ensuring the safety of your staff and customers during winter conditions has become simple with our cost effective price plans. Depending on your requirements, we offer two plans:
1. The cost per visit option will be based on the number of service visits undertaken each month and will be invoiced monthly.
Or
2. Fixed seasonal cost is a fixed price option that includes all service visits (irrespective of how many) between the 1st Nov and the 31st March. 50% is invoiced upfront and the remaining 50% is invoiced on the 1st January.
Our pricing is fully inclusive of all labour, vehicles and materials and is subject to a full site survey and acceptance of TGS Landscapes terms and conditions.
Covered - Once your contract is signed you're automatically covered and service commences as soon as the temperature drops (after 1st November).
In Control - We understand there are times such as weekends and holidays when service is not required. You're in control, just let us know and we'll take care of it.
